Wok N Bao

Wok N Bao, designed by Siren Betty Design, captures the raw energy and edge of a Shanghai street market. Dark tones, layered textures, and graffiti-covered walls define a bold, urban interior that contrasts with its neighboring restaurant, offering a moodier, more industrial sense of character and intrigue.

As the moodier sibling to Asadito, Wok N Bao draws inspiration from the client’s time living in Shanghai, channeling the pulse of the city’s street markets into every detail. The design combines industrial grit with cultural nuance, using raw materials and bold graffiti to create a space that feels both spontaneous and intentional. Layers of metal, wood, and textured finishes build depth and authenticity, while moody lighting enhances the sense of intimacy and drama. The result is an atmosphere that feels lived-in and alive, filled with movement, energy, and story. Wok N Bao reflects Siren Betty Design’s talent for transforming global inspiration into environments that are visceral, memorable, and grounded in place.
