Wildman BT

Wildman BT in Chicago, restored and redesigned by Siren Betty Design, transforms a 1914 industrial factory into a creative studio for Trope Publishing. Original bow truss architecture meets jewel-toned furnishings, antique brass, and custom lighting to create a workspace that feels both artful and authentically Chicago.

Built in 1914 as the Wildman Boiler & Tank Factory, this 12,000-square-foot building now houses the offices and production studios of Trope Publishing Company. The renovation balances preservation and modern reinvention, honoring the structure’s industrial character while layering in warmth and sophistication. Sixteen-foot ceilings feature custom light fixtures by Bader Art Metal, while the lounge’s muted jewel tones and antique walnut bar from Architectural Artifacts add richness and comfort. Colorful board-and-batten trim, antique brass, and velvet drapery play against the raw steel and brick architecture, creating texture and contrast throughout. A custom mosaic tile floor greets guests at the entrance, showcasing Siren Betty Design’s ability to merge craftsmanship, history, and contemporary creativity.
