The Press Room

The Press Room in Chicago’s West Loop, designed by Siren Betty Design, blends neighborhood grit with vintage romance. Velvet tufted seating, a hand-painted mural, Persian rugs, and a glowing vintage cooler shape an intimate wine bar with layered texture and warmth.

Designed to reflect the West Loop’s energy while honoring its past, The Press Room feels like a secret clubhouse. Velvet tufted benches line a custom mural and tile wall. A vintage refrigerator anchors the room, with plants along sunny windowsills. Materials from the Free Methodist Publishing House were salvaged and reimagined. The 70-seat space invites guests to gather at the long communal table, watch cooking in the open kitchen dining room, or retreat to the private tasting room for focused pours. The Press Room holds close to the neighborhood’s rhythm, a Siren Betty Design study in intimacy and character that welcomes you back again and again.
