The Pink Squirrel in Chicago by Siren Betty Design is a retro soda shop–meets–cocktail bar inspired by vintage Wisconsin taverns. Colorful fiberglass lights, pink velvet booths, and sparkling vinyl create a playful midcentury vibe, blending nostalgia and comfort in a space that feels familiar, fun, and unmistakably timeless.

The Pink Squirrel channels the charm of old Wisconsin bars while reimagining them for a modern audience. We used salvaged materials and custom details to craft a space that feels both authentic and fresh. Multicolored fiberglass light fixtures hang above pink velvet and sparkle vinyl booths, balancing retro whimsy with cozy comfort. A mix of midcentury furniture and reclaimed accents, including vintage bowling trophies sourced from across the Midwest, reinforces the bar's playful yet grounded personality. Every design choice celebrates joy and nostalgia, resulting in a setting that feels warm, communal, and a little bit cheeky.
