Burl

Burl is a wood-fired, farmer-driven restaurant in Evanston, Illinois, designed by Siren Betty Design, a nationally recognized hospitality interior design firm. The interior takes its cue from the warmth and elemental character of live-fire cooking. Custom walnut millwork, textured plaster, exposed brick, sculptural lighting, and softly layered textiles give the room depth without making it feel heavy. At the center, an open kitchen brings the cooking process into view, while the bar and dining areas shift naturally between energy and intimacy. Chartreuse upholstery and lake-inspired blue tones add a fresh note to the earthy material palette. Rooted in regional sourcing and genuine hospitality, Burl reflects Siren Betty Design’s approach to restaurant interiors across the country: distinctive, highly functional spaces shaped by concept, craft, and the guest experience.
