Sushi Hall
Sushi Hall in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood, designed by Siren Betty Design, balances elevated design with laid-back charm. Exposed brick, bright tile, and custom murals bring color and character to the space, creating a welcoming neighborhood destination that reflects Chef Mitch’s creativity and Chicago’s signature warmth.
Siren Betty Design preserved the building’s original Chicago brick and infused the space with playful energy through crisp blue lighting, sunny yellow tile, neon signage, and a custom wallcovering printed with a Chicago street grid. Local artist Breezy Snyder painted a bold fish skeleton mural inspired by the tattoo on Chef Mitch’s forearm. Around back, a separate takeout window was designed to accommodate delivery drivers, ensuring the guest experience extends beyond the dining room. The exterior is painted with a mural by local artist Ken Klopack, inspired by the classic white plastic takeout bag stamped with red lettering that reads “Thank you Thank you Thank you.” The result is a restaurant that feels familiar, vibrant, and authentically Chicago.
