Bisous
Bisous in Chicago, designed by Siren Betty Design, evokes the charm of a vintage French hotel lounge. Layered with velvet, tile, and wood, the cocktail bar combines Parisian glamour with relaxed comfort, creating an intimate neighborhood escape that feels timeless, tactile, and effortlessly sophisticated.
Designed in the spirit of 1960s Paris, Bisous feels like a lounge kissed by time. The design layers texture and nostalgia, balancing opulence with ease. A curved velvet banquette anchors the front windows opposite a wall of subway tile, grasscloth, and white oak. Mosaic flooring surrounds the round-arched bar, while twin soffits and globe pendants lead the eye through the room. In the rear lounge, oversized peony-print walls and ceiling create a cocoon of color and pattern. Mismatched rugs and perfectly imperfect finishes add warmth and authenticity, making the space feel collected rather than curated. The result is a bar that embodies Siren Betty Design’s instinct for creating hospitality experiences that are both glamorous and grounded.
