The Publishing House Bed & Breakfast
The Publishing House in Chicago by Siren Betty Design reimagines a historic building into a boutique bed and breakfast blending vintage character with modern comfort. Located in the West Loop, it combines literary charm, restored architecture, and bespoke furnishings to create a sophisticated, welcoming stay for travelers and locals alike.
Housed in the former Free Methodist Publishing House, this West Loop landmark was transformed into a one-of-a-kind boutique B&B celebrating Chicago’s creative spirit. The design mixes vintage finds with modern finishes, restoring architectural details while layering in warmth and texture through patterned tile, reupholstered furniture, and curated art. Each of the 11 guest rooms was inspired by Chicago’s literary icons, offering its own personality while maintaining a cohesive sense of comfort. Thoughtful design choices, like the double-sided fireplace and baby grand piano, balance elegance with approachability. A boutique experience defined by warmth, authenticity, and a quiet sophistication that embodies Siren Betty Design’s vision.
