For us, interior design is not just for the workplace, it starts and ends at home. No matter the budget, anyone can make their space reflect who they are and what they love. We achieve this through interesting pieces and personal touches. Check out our most treasured items and favorite accents that we have been loving in our homes!
While saving for big items or trying to create a sophisticated space on a minimal budget, Lexi suggests adding plants and vintage pieces to make your space unique and homey. Lexi has over 40 houseplants, and the rest of us at Siren Betty aren't too far behind! Decorating your home with plants refreshes the space and adds life to it. Also, as you already know, we love adding mid-century modern pieces to our homes and Lexi’s apartment is filled with them. One of her favorites is her grandmother’s psychedelic painting from the 60s, which is an eclectic statement piece that is the first thing people see when they walk in. We suggest checking out flea markets for cool vintage finds. Over the years, Lexi has collected curtains, a chest, an oriental rug (that she’s obsessed with), and lots of other decorations that make her home uniquely hers.
Nicole tends to gravitate towards aesthetically pleasing and interesting-patterned household accents. A beautiful addition to her home is her dining room light from West Elm. It’s unique shape and texture makes it the focal point. She also loves her veiny Carrara kitchen countertops that were fabricated and installed by GMD. The countertop was a perfect investment because it complements her West Elm dining room fixture and ties everything together perfectly. Her absolute favorite part of her home is her steam shower which is distinguished by varied colors of deep green zellige tile from Cle Tile and includes Brizo fixtures from Ferguson. Like a mini spa, it adds the perfect touch of luxury and comfort. We are obsessed with Nicole’s guest bath which has cleverly picked out patterned tiles from Cle Tile that goes with the shower curtain from CB2, and a gorgeous fixture from Cedar and Moss. All these pieces work so well together and make this guest bath a great space to show off.
